Purpose of Minors
Students can elect to minor in a field for a multitude of reasons. A very common reason is to supplement a major. However, students are freely to choose to minor in something they are passionate about but that does not pertain to the field in which they seek employment. An interesting minor can also be a good way to make a student stand out in the job market
Standard of Minor at Computing Dept
Here, in Computing department,the total crdit hours for minor courses is 24 credit hours. Students are advised to choose minor based on their academic evaluation and interest. Before making any decision, students are required to seek their academic advisor.

HOW TO CHANGE MINOR?
Changing Minor programme is a lot hardier than choosing minor. There are lot steps and stages that need to be done. So, it is priority for a students to discussed about choosing the right minor programme with their academic supervisor as it will affect their cgpa. In order to change a minor programme, students should have a reasonable excuse to why they want to change their minor at the first place.
Without a proper excuse, students will not be able to change their minor programme. Beside that students can only change their minor programme with the approval of Dean of Faculty of Arts, Computing and Creative Industry and minor programme can be only changed once. Student should be noted that every minor courses that have been taken will be concluded in their cgpa.
